Unfortunately, Joshua had an accident yesterday, which forced a trip to the ER. He is OK...I, on the other hand, am still quite traumatized. So, what happened?
Well, while Momma was doing a little post-xmas gift card shopping, Joshua face planted into the tile floor from the stroller, jamming up his upper front four teeth and tearing up his upper gums. Luckily my mom was in a nearby store to scoop up the two of us (I was crying almost as hard as he was) and take us to the hospital. Luckily, all his teeth are in tact...they are a bit loose, but we will go to the dentist Monday (hopefully) to get another look! This pic is the least graphic as it represents the end of a nearly 2 hour long cry, waiting room nap, one change of shirts, several face cleanings, and visit from the doctor.
Sadly, the incident caused me to cancel our trip to celebrate Tasha & Matt's recent nuptials. We were really looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing T & M. Joshua seems to be doing pretty good today, despite a sore mouth, another ear infection (also discovered at the ER), and a host of doctor/dentist visits to come. (We have ear tube surgery when we return to SC).
Anywho, I promise to post a happier post soon with some funny pics. Keep your fingers crossed that the dentist will say good things this week. :)

I am so sorry to hear about his accident. I know how gut wrenching that is to go through! I am glad that he is okay.
Our babies will have many traumas and boo-boos that we will have to go thru with them. I'm sure this was not your fault. (Especially not you - one of the best Moms I almost know!) Of course I have a story, but not about Dan. One day when she was about Joshua's age I swooped Joy up and ran up the stairs. I tripped, Joy went face first and her teeth went thru her tongue. Oh what a Day!!! The E.R. doc told me she wouldn't start talking right away and I might have to take her to a speech therapist later. - None of that happened, of course! So Hang in there MOM !! BTW, he looks like he is having a good time. Love always from Grandmom in Philly.
