Our Time in Texas

Today we leave Texas to return to South Carolina. As always, we have enjoyed our time in Texas and will miss everyone here. Here are some shots of Joshua's Texas antics :).

More with the guitar soon...but until then, J, an Obama supporter, wanted to pay tribute to Hillary Clinton today (as she announces the official end of her campaign and support for Obama this afternoon in D.C.) and wear his too cute Hillary shirt (thanks Ken & Christine).

Watering the yard was an easy way to pass the hot summer nights.

Dogs really grabbed J's attention this time. He loved to give them sweet kisses...and he loved to do everything they did, including drinking fro, their water bowl...yuk!!!! Just yesterday he decided to start eating like a dog, putting his face in his basket of fries and eating them with no hands. Geez....

Joshua got plenty of spoil time from many family members (although they claim I spoil him the most :P). Here he is eating animal crackers with Great-Grandpa and hanging out with the next best thing since Momma - AUNT EMILY!

One of Joshua's many nicknames is "donut." Until this week, he had never had a donut. Amarillo's "The Donut Stop" has the best donut's in the country, so I thought it only appropriate to introduce the donut to a proper chocolate donut...it was truly a religous experience for him. For about 15 minutes, I was the best mom ever :)

Back to the Pool!

Amarillo Town Club is the best pool for children Joshua's age! We had so much fun there last year, we had to go back---Joshua had a blast.

Joshua insisted on going it alone sometimes where he would inevitably take a plunge and have to be rescued by Momma, Rachel or Emily.

His cousin, Rachel, was his buddy today. If it weren't for her I would have never gotten to sit down :)
