Joshua is talking up a storm. He has added too many new words to count...although sometimes he forgets that he knows certain words for a bit :). The picture to the left gives "Momma's Boy" new meaning, whereas the below shows one of his favorite times at night, post-bath time with daddies. The last one is his reaction to rolling up his pants in preparation for some gardening.

Grandmom in Philly
Joshua's grandmother in Philadelphia (Nancy)sent us a fantastic picture of her as a child. I had heard that Joshua's curls were from her, but it was not until I saw this picture that I realized how true that statement was (the texture and everything seem exactly like J's hair). In fact I think the likeness between the two, curls and beyond, is remarkable. I will try to catch J with that expression on his face soon...until then, enjoy a little visual family history :).Wednesday, April 02, 2008
Half way there....
A break from charting Joshua...
When you try to quit smoking, "they" tell you to make it known to friends and family. The point behind lsuch strategy, I suppose, is that by letting people know, one has someone other than one's self to answer to. Well, I guess this blog will be another entity to answer to...:).
For those of you who don't know, my new year's resolution was to lose 40 pounds. On January 13th, I joined weight watchers and have been working toward an even larger goal (somewhere between 40-50 pounds). This week I officially crossed over the half way mark with a loss of 26 pounds. Although I will see most blog readers next week on a visit to Texas, I wanted to post a before (taken in october 2007) and current pic. I have to admit that I myself am surprised that WW is actually working and that I am not flaking out...I also want to stick with it, so this will remind me to stay on track.
