So last night was a rough one. Joshua's mouth must have been hurtung him and/or he was having night terrors...iow, he was screaming in the middle of the night. When I finally got him back down, I, of course, was lying there, with a baby on my arm/chest, wide awake.I had given him some Motrin to help with his mouth. I have recently moved from infant motrin to children's motrin. Significance? Well...children's says it is for kids 2 years and up/24 pounds. This used to confuse me -which do I go by age or weight? Apparently weight...well most of the time, as motrin, in particular, was a drug I could not give until he was 6 months old. I went to children's b/c J weighs nearly 25 pounds and it is a bit cheaper. But all of a sudden, I began to second guess myself...I mean afterall, I had a lapse of good judgment that contributed to his accident...could this be the same?
I don't think so. But I began to think further... at J's last doctor appointment he was in the 95th percentile in height and only 46th percentile and weight (a problem not experienced by either of his parents :P). So if J weighs LESS than most babies at 15 months, and he weighs nearly 25 pounds, how many children take nearly 2 years to get to 24 pounds?
Oh and for the pic - completly unrelated. There he is falling dead asleep in the car wearing his new xmas hat! I just thought I would include one :)
